1. INSTALLATION

Q : Can I play RAN Online on Window Vista?
A : No at the moment, however the Game Developer is working very hard to make it possible. Please visit our official website http://ran.myrosso.com for the latest updates.

Q : What is the RAN Online system requirement?
A :

Q : Frequently disconnecting during gaming session.
A : If your hardware specification does fulfill the minimum requirement, kindly try the
following:
1. Game Setting: It is recommended to lower (or) turn off game effects, try again and see if the problem still persists.
2. Connection Problem: Check connection speed and stability.
3. Graphic Card: If above mentioned steps failed, please upgrade your display card driver.

Remarks :
Please do not execute other programs or malicious tools in attempt to
change the game setting i.e. Bot.


Q : Unable to execute the game/ Direct X diagnostic tool execution.
A : Please send us a copy of dxdiag report; we will attempt to diagnose your system build up. How to generate DxDiag report:
1. Press the windows Start button.
2. Click the Run command.
3. Key in “dxdia” and press Enter.
4. Wait DirectX window to load, click "Save All Information" button to save all relavant information.
5. Save the report file and email us.Thank you.

Q : Cannot play RAN Online in Cyber cafe/Unable to auto update.
A : Kindly follow below instructions to update the game:
1. Please request Cyber Cafe incharge person to download the game complete version from our official website http://ran.myrosso.com .
2. Turn off window restore or any restoration equipments, anti virus and firewall.
3. Uninstall and remove the previous existing game folder completely. Reinstall the newly downloaded RAN game installer.
4. You may now restart all the restoration applications, anti virus and firewall.
5. Start the game, and enjoy it.

Remarks:
If cyber cafe do not grant the administrator rights to players, please notify the owner to updates RAN Online.


Q : Where to install RAN Online Client?
A :
1. Please visit our official RAN website http://ran.myrosso.com and check under
category ”Download” or
2. Any mirror sites for online installation of the game client.


2. GAME TECHNICAL

Q: Display error message"Error Occurred while patch file transmitting"
A:
1. Please close the game application and re-patch the game again and re-patch the game.
2. If problem persists, please quote us the error message and email to our customer support at customerservice@myrosso.com

Q : Display D3D9 application error message.
A : Please update graphic card driver or download latest DirectX version.
(Direct X official page: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.mspx)

Q : Cannot display Chinese fonts or display Unicode in RAN Chinese game.
A : Please try the following:
1. Open up "Regional and Language Options" in "Control Panel".
2. Please ensure you has selected "Install files for languages"under "Languages"tab.
3. Proceed to "Advanced"tab, select "Chinese(Taiwan)" for "Language for non-Unicode programs".

Q : Cannot key in Chinese fonts in the Game.
A : For Windows XP setting:
1. Open up"Regional and Language Options" in"Control Panel".
2. On the Languages tab, click"Details... "button.
3. Click"Add"button in"Text Services and Input Languages" Settings
4. Next, select "Chinese(Taiwan)" in Input language menu and "Chinese (Traditional) - New Phonetic" in Keyboard layout/IME menu, click OK.
5. Back to "Text Services and Input Languages" Setting page, click "Chinese (Traditional) - New Phonetic" in Installed services, and select "Properties...".
6. Go to Keyboard mapping page, select "HanYu Pinyin" for Keyboard layout menu and click OK.

Remarks:
Please ensure your language setting to Chinese -Traditional.
(Kindly refer to the above -- 'Cannot type Chinese fonts in the game' or 'Display Unicode' FAQ). Before login to game (before click 'Start'), please select 'Option' and select 'window mode'.


Q : Why i can't read the game character?
A : Please log off and re-login the game again. If you still facing the same problem,
please check the internet connection speed and stability and try to reboot your PC.

Q : Why the updating process takes so long?
A: Too many concurrents are updating the patch at the same time, which slow down the connectivity. Players can always update later or go though other mirror sites to download the update patch. We sorry for any inconvenience caused and thanks for your patient.

Q : Why does the game hang when I'm passing by some specific area? Will The game hang directly if I try to login again?
A :This happened when incomplete installation of the game. Please uninstall and reinstall the game again.


3. Nprotect ERROR MESSAGES
Please track the Nprotect Error code before you read the following FAQ.

Q : Game does not function properly and display error message (errorcode:100)
A :
1. The system detected viruses, please scan your PC by using the latest
antivirus program (e.g. Ad-Aware) to protect your PC security.
2. If error messages (errorcode:100) persists after scanning, it might be an undetectablevirus, please try to use other latest antivirus program. (FREE Antivirus softwares via Internet is available.)

Q : What is the reason for after long update duration, the error message
(Errorcode:114) persists to appear and caused the game failure?

A :
1. The system might occupy large capacity of the CPU or the outdated graphic card/sound card driver, please scan your PC by using the latest antivirus program (e.g. Ad-Aware) to protect your PC security and update the graphic card and sound card driver.
2. For individual PC, some unusual antivirus program (e.g Norton2005, McAfee, VirusBuster etc) has been setup. Open Antivirus setting page, and turn off unnecessary applications such as: Internet, Outlook or scanning driver.

Q : I'm updating the GameGuard, but it suddenly disable and display error messages (Errorcode:350)
A : You might be miss click the Cancel button or the internet broadband lagging or FTP, HTTP disconnection. Please click 'Retry' button.

Q : GameGuard not function and display error message (Errorcode: 360)
A : Go to PC's hard disk (e.g.: C drive:\My Computer), right click 'Tools', and select
'Check Now' for the entire hard disk error checking. If the problem persists, please
remove previous RAN installation folder, then reinstall again.

Q : GameGuard not function and display error message (Errorcode: 361)
A : The GameGuard does not update successfully. Please check the Internet connection and security program execution (e.g.: itop etc) before connecting to Internet.

Q : nProtectGameGuard updates failed (Errorcode:380)
A : (1) If you are using Windows XP Service Pack 2 version, please check on the
firewall setting, or reboot your PC.
(2)Some Firewall system (e.g: Sygate) might block the nProtect GameGuard, please
check on the Firewall setting.

Q : Display error message: NPGAMEMON_ERROR_EXIST (110)
A : Please close game application and reboot PC to re-update the Nprotect.

Q : Display error message: NPGAMEMON_ERROR_NPSCAN (112)
A : Failure in executing antivirus and hacking program scan. It might be caused by
insufficient RAM and viruses problem.

Q : Display error message: NPGAMEMON_ERROR_INIT (114)
A : GameMon execution in failure. Some softwares might be clashing with GameMon,
please reboot your PC.

Q : Display error message: NPGAMEMON_ERROR_EXIST (115)
A : There are multiple events of game excution or GameGuard is already running. Please close the game and try again.

Q : Display error message: NPGAMEMON_ERROR_EXECUTE(170)
A : GameGuard execution error. Please reinstall the GameGuard and restart game.

Q : Display error message: NPGAMEMON_ERROR_ILLEGAL_PRG(200)
A : Illegal software was detected. Please close all unnecessary software and try again.

Q : Display error message: NPGAMEMON_ERROR_DOWNCFG(340)
A : Internet line lagging or instability which caused this error message. Please check the
Internet connection and firewall setting.

Q : Display error message: NPGAMEMON_ERROR_ABORT(350)
A : You pressed the 'Cancel' button during updating process. It always happen when
Internet access was disconnected. Please reconnect and check your network stability.

Q : Display error message: NPGAMEMON_ERROR_AUTH(360)
A : Updates failure or GameGuard corrupted. Please check the firewall setting and
try again.

Q : Display error message: NPGAMEMON_ERROR_CONNECT(380)
A : The connection to GameGuard update server in failure. Please check the Internet
connection and try again.

Remarks:
If any other error messages appear/ persist, please take a screenshot on the 'Gameguard executing error', attached and email to our Customer Support customerservice@myrosso.com


4. GAME ACCOUNT

Q : Can i edit my registered profile?
A : Not at the current moment, however we are trying to make it possible.
Please visit our official RAN Online website http://ran.myrosso.com for the latest
updates.

Q : Do i need to restart my game characters since RAN Online had changed to a new publisher,Gonzo Rosso (M) Sdn. Bhd.?
A : No. We still reserved players registration information and game characters under
Gonzo Rosso.

Q : How do i know whether my character information has been remained?
A : Key in your Login ID and password, you will manage to login to your account successfully.

Q : Is Gonzo Rosso the same company with eGames?
A : NO. We have no relationship at all with the previous publisher. Gonzo Rosso (M) Sdn Bhd was appointed by Min Communication and Korean RAN Online Games Developer as the new publisher for RAN Online services in the region of Malaysia and Singapore.

Q : Why players' ID and characters information can be found in the game, if Gonzo Rosso (M) Sdn Bhd has no connection with previous distribution company?
A : Gonzo Rosso (M) Sdn Bhd only reserves the right to retrieve back player's game
character information only, remaining data such as, gamers profile or reported cases are belonged to the previous publisher.


5. ACCOUNT STOLEN

Q : My account has been stolen.
A : You can lodge report via CS Support email: customerservice@myrosso.com with all details and particulars provided. Kindly allow us 7 working days for the investigation process.

Q : User's information does not match with the system.
A : Your request will be rejected if the account information provided does not match with our system database.

Q : The user's provided information is accurate and valid.
A : Please continue with your report, our GM will process and investigate your case within 7 working days.

Q : When can i claim back my lost in-game item?
A : Cases and investigations process required 7 working days (excluding weekend & public holiday). We will contact player once the investigation has been completed. Player is advised to scan their PC periodically to avoid Trojan viruses,take extra precautions during gaming at cyber cafe, and change the password frequently.

Q : I brought an ID, but no idea how to reset personal particular.
A : When you purchased the ID? (Under previous publisher) – Sorry, we could not trace back your previous ID transaction history. Therefore we will not taking any responsibility for any account trading between players, especially cases which happened under previous publisher.

(Under Gonzo Rosso) – Our policies stated clearly, if your given information doesn't match with user registered details and cause Any failure of account ownership verification will not be entertained.

Q : Is the same RAN Online ? Or is there any different?
A : Although it is the same RAN Online, Gonzo Rosso(M) Sdn Bhd is another publisher and new company. The management protocol and game services might differ from the previous publisher.

Q : Both are the same company? Why i can't retrieve my game ID?

A : No. Min Communication and Korean RAN Online Games Developer had appointed Gonzo Rosso(M) Sdn Bhd as the new publisher for RAN Online services in the region Malaysia and Singapore effective from 15th March 2007. we have no relationship with the previous publisher company, as they reserved the rights to keep their database details confidential.

Q : How to private message GM (Game Master)
A : Official GM does not appear in game, if you have any game related queries, you are most welcome to visit our Web CS Support at the official webpage http://ran.myrosso.com/ to lodge report.


6. GAME SYSTEM

Q: Any game tips to upgrade my weapon or armor to +7/ +9?
A : The percentages for upgrading all game weapon/ armor is in random basis, no
game tips are available.

Q : My weapon or armor disappeared when upgrading failed.
A : Yes. The weapon or armor will be gone due to the game system setting if you failed to complete upgrading.

Q : How to open my personal store business?
A : You need Store Business Pass before can open a store. Passes are available at Super Store or any purchase of RAN online physical products in the future.

Q : i accidentally sell off modified items (sold to NPC)
A : Sorry, modified items accidentally sold to NPC’s are irreplaceable.

Q : How to set the Gang Emblem?
A : Gang Emblem’s Setting:
1. Gang emblem measurement is 16 x 11 and created in *.BMP or *.JPG file format.
2. Save the picture to "My Documents" folder.
3.Enter the file name to complete, e.g:123.bmp.

Remarks: Only Gang Leader is allowed to change the gang emblem setting.

Q : How to use marriage system?
A : Bride and groom have to prepare the invitation card and wedding gown before
access to the wedding hall. However, the feature is not available at this moment.

Q : Can i customize my character's class and gender?
A : No. Classes and gender are preset by system once you created the character.

Q: What is the function of the fate box which dropped by the mobs?
A :
Speed Up 300 sec : Increase the movement speed to 150% in certain period
Crazy Time 180 sec : Increase movement speed to 130% and attack speed to 160% in certain period
Power Up 300 sec : Increase damage value to 160% in certain period
Exp Time 300 sec : Increase Exp value to 150% in certain period
Exp Get      : Obtain 0.05% Exp
Lucky 600 sec : Increase item drop rate to 160% in certain period
Bomb!! : Attack the surrounding enemy and mobs in between 100~300

A : The system has automatically filtered the banned words.

A : Most of the Super Store’s virtual items are tradable or exchangeable.

Q : How Super Store products being categorized?
A : RAN Super Store's products categorize to day limits and usage time limits.

Q : Will the day limits and usage time limits indicate the deadline/expiry?
A : Yes. Move mouse cursor to the Super Store’s virtual item. It will indicate the item and its expiry date.

Q : Why i cannot purchase the red color highlighted items in shop vending?
A : Red highlighted items are sold out.

Q : How do i get the abrasive?
A : Kill a monster, or redeemable by empty bottles.

Q : What is included in the abrasive set?
A : Burr, Abrasive, Bone Powder, Sodium, Iron, Silver and Crystal.

Q : Is there any safety value by using the abrasive to refine the weapon or armor?
A : Abrasive or Protective Potion to refine the weapons [+1]~[+4]will be undefeatable.

Q : How do i make use of the Old Books, Ancient Book, Broken empty bottle and Currency Unconfirmed which collect from Clearing Dormitory mission?
A: There is resources recycling at welfare society or can be sold for money.

Q : How do I use Party Chat, Speakers Frequency and Gang Frequency?
A : Party Chat:Add in [#] before enter message,
Whisper Chat:Add in [@] before enter message,
Gang Frequency: Add in [%] before enter message,
Speakers Frequency:Add in [$] before enter message.

Q :What is Weapon and Armor attribute?
A : Weapon attribute is items randomly dropped by monters after being killed. Armor attribute can be increasing by applying resistance i.e:bone powder, sodium, iron, silver and the crystal.

Q : What is Spell?
A : Spells are required during performing special skills for Qigong Society students.

Q : How do i equip/cast the Spell?
A : Only Qigong society student can equip/cast the Spell. Just place the spell at right side of the uppper clothes in the inventory.

Q : Why I cannot use the Spell during practicing Qigong?
A : You need to equip with specific Qigong weapon before using the Spell, spell could not work on common weapons.

Q : How do i go to the Market Place?
A : Take a yellow bus nearby every campus entrance.

Q : How to go to the Practicing Yard?
A : Take the bus transfer point at every campus back gate.

Q : How many times can I use for one Campus Return Card?
A : One card is applicable for ONE time, it can sent your game character back to the main centre.

Q : If I add in my skill point wrongly, can I reset it?
A : Yes. You can purchase Oblivion Potion from RAN Super Store to reset your skill points. Please bear in mind that you are unable to restore the skill points, which received from missions.

Q : Can i over grade to equip the weapon?
A : Yes, but it will consume your SP.

Q : Why my game character gasping for breath?
A : Game character’s SP is too low, which cause character breathing heavily.

Q : What happen if Game Character’s SP is too low?
A : Your striking power will drop, you may miss out attack easily or the effect may reduce half.

Q : If repespective society do not sell above level 44 weapons, can i get it through killing mobs?
A : You can purchase above level 44 weapons from NPC, at the campus main entrance.

Q : The living state point affected the glow of an item?
A : Added values weapon or armor will glow. The living state point of a player will also affect the glow.

Q : My inventory is full during mission, but NPC has no option to allow me complete mission.
A :Clear out reward items to get enough space, open Mission window (T) and select the chosen mission, press “Finished" button at the left side.

Q : During the last step on Knot Authentication mission, relevance mission dialogue does not turn up when i try to conversate with the Student Director.
A : Please ensure you do not hold any broom when taking to Student Director during
the Knot Authentication mission.

Q : How to get the Clearing Dormitory mission’s broom?
A : After reaching level 5, please follow Students Director instruction, pay $100 and look for Locker's Guardian at the storeroom for broom rental. You may select Mission window (M) for further details.

Q : What is the additional attack effects for each of weapon attributes such as thunder, fire, ice, poisons and gas?
1. Thunder attribute : Temporarily paralysis
2. Fire attribute : Burning effect temporarily.
3. Ice attribute : Temporarily freezing
4. Poisons attribute : Temporarily poisoned.

Q : Can I decline certain player’s private message?
A : Yes. Please open up Friend window (F). Select Interdic, key-in the player's ID, and press OK. To unable, just select the desired ID and undo it.

Q : How to do the clearance mission?
A : Using the broom or weapon to attack the trash.

Q : I already rented a broom but no Clearing Dormitory Mission turn up ?
A : You need to look for Students Director to accept the Clearing Dormitory Mission.

Q : Is there any Force PK in Market Place?
A : No. There is no force PK function in market place

Q : Is there any Force PK in Practicing Yard?
A : Yes. There is force PK function.

Q : Is there any place for duel PK?
A : You can on your duel PK, except for Sacred Gate, Mystic Peak and Phoenix.

Q : Why some characters’ ID will turn to yellow, orange and red color?
A : The negative attribute point will turn the ID to yellow color, the higher negative rate, the more it will approach to red color.

Q : Why there are many players ID shown in red color during Duel PK session?
A : In a free duel PK session, other campus’ players ID can be easily notified in red color. It indicates those who in opposite side who you can start PK with.

Q : Can i redo if i failed on the Assessment on Passing the Main Entrance mission?
A : Yes, you are able to redo this mission provided if your character is ≥level 26.

Q : Is there any Store available?
A : Yes. Locker is Storage place.

Q : How to use the Locker?
A : Go to the Locker's Guardian at the main centre and select the locker; Or look for the safety box located out of the main centre.

Q : Can i share Locker if same ID but difference server?
A : NO.

Q : Can i share Locker if same ID and same server?
A : YES.

Q : Can i open my locker at different campus?
A : No.

Q : Do i need to press “Z”key to start force PK during duel PK session?
A : You can start your PK directly.

Q : Where to buy skill book?
A : Look for the College square or College Administrator to purchase the beginner skill book from them.

Q : Why I cannot see the skill books which sold by society trainer?
A : Right click society trainer, go to item trading -> store -> select “etc”.

Q : If I want to use Whisper Frequency to chat with my good friend, but his/her ID is too long, is there any convinience way?
A : Yes, open the Friend window (F), double click on your good friend ID and use the whisper frequency to chat.

Q : If the character has been deleted, will the items still available in locker?
A : The items in locker won’t be lost, provided it must under the same server.

Q : Once armor combined with clothes, what happens when deadline reach ? Will the separation be allowed?
A : Clothes outlook will disappear and combined item restore back to normal.

Q: Where to get skill books which society trainer does not sell?
A: You can get skill books through Spiritual Sphere or by killing the mobs.

Q : The Individual Store trade the items/goods according to per quantity or by group bundling?
A : Price of items/ goods is based on per quantity.


7. FOR NEWBIE

Q : RAN Online is free to play?
A : Yes. RAN Online is a Free to Play MMORPG. Player can use myRosso Points to purchase virtual items from the Super Store.

Q : If I don’t purchase any products from RAN Super Store, will it cause any game play problem?
A : No. It certainly won't affect the game balance. Super Store is to provide more convenience and decoration effect to player 's character.

Q : What are the differences for all RAN Super Store Items ?
A : RAN Super Store‘s goods category divides into the day limits and usage time limits. RAN item Purchase provides point-added service. Player must top up my Points in their account before start purchase RAN IPG items.

Q : How to apply for Myrosso ID?
A : Visit www.myrosso.com for Myrosso member registration. Key in and submit all required information. Please remember to check your registered email to activate the confirmation link. Now, Log in with your ID and password to enjoy RAN Online!

Q : What is the different between Login ID and Game ID?
A : Both same. Only the password is difference.

Q : How many game servers are available now?
A : Currently there are 1 game server for English and 1 for Chinese.

Q : What is the different between server and channel?
A : All server and channel’s game background and graphic are the same. The only difference is the different channels characters are unable to meet each other in game.

Q : Any difference from selecting different campus and character outlook?
A : No. The outlook is to provide choices for players to select from. Campus and character outward appearance only gives each player play in different choice.

Q : How many game characters can i create?
A : ONE Login ID contains TWO character cards, while 1 character card only can create 1 character. Therefore. no matter how many game servers there are in RAN Online, you are able to create up to maximum of FOUR characters. Player can use myRosso Points to purchase character card from the Super Store if needed.

Q : How do i take screenshot?
A : Press the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard to save current screenshot. It will be stored in your Ran Online folders under the screenshot section. win

Q : How do I start the game?
A : If you are newbie, we recommend you take advantage to browse through game
instructions by pressing button “H”, and “T” for game mission guidances.

Q : Which character is easier to play? Which is harder ?
A : There is no such easy or hard differ in character. It always depends on player to choose for thier favourable character to play.

Q : Is there any shortcut key function available?
A : Yes. There are shortcuts to make your journey smoother throughout the whole game play. Consumable Items short-cut keys - Q, W, E, A, S, D. Skill Bar - 1~0.

Q : Is there any Character, Skill, or Inventory shortcut key available?
A : Yes. Inventory (I), Character (C), Skill (K), Team (P), Club (G), Mission (T), Friends (F), Mini Map (M), Item Bank (B) and Run/ Walk (R).

Q : How do i adjust viewing angle?
A :Press mouse wheel to zoom in/out or rotate the view.

Q : If I don't have a scroll mouse, how to change the viewing angle?
A : You can either use the direction button on the keyboard or direction button on the numeric keypad, press "+" or "-" for zoom in/out on the numeric keypad.

Q : How do i move items from the Inventory?
A : Left click on the desired weapons or items, move to the particular slot and right click to place it.

Q : How do i separate accumulated inventory items?
A : Mouse over to desired items and left click, enter quantity you wan it to separate to.

Q : How do i equip or take off items from inventory?
A : Click on the weapons or items you want to take on/off, drag it to equipment bar (white color slot) or back to inventory and left click.

Q : How do I sell items?
A : Click on Trading Store's NPC, select item trading, click and drag the item in your inventory to NPC trade window to sell it off. Please specify the quatity if player wish to trade in bulk.

Q : What is the tax rate?
A : The higher the tax rate the more expensive the trading item. Relatively the item value will be lower when you sell to NPC.

Q : Who set the tax rate?
A : Current tax rate is set by club leader who manage the electrical room, until the next club war begins.

Q : How do I occupy my personal store business?

A : Equipment's outlook will look alike the clothing, but it remain original outlook in the inventory with the enhancement quality after combination during a certain timelimit.

Q : How to use Segregation Dynamo?
A : Click the Segregation Dynamo, and drag it to the desired equipment and right click.
